Art can be a pain in the life when forced into a deadline.
The memorial for the funeral was very good, actually, for being what it was. All of the other viewings and things I've been to have been really depressing... this was depressing, yes, but they were also celebrating his life. Also I think it might have helped the mood that he was cremated... Having his body there would probably have been tough.
Chelsea and her mom are such strong people. Actually, really amazing people. I really admire them both. I was really in awe of some of the things I heard about all three of them, Chelsea, her mom, and her dad. I wish I were like some spirit sometimes, where I could follow people's lives-- especially these three, because the were full of such love and happiness and intelligence and strength. Wow.

I am going to go drink some tea and paint.
